French reality TV show goes to El Nido

El Nido once again will make another mark in the international reality TV scene as a highly rated French adventure game show traveled all the way to the Philippines to film what might be its best season ever.

Contestants of the seventh season of “Koh Lanta”, French TV’s version of the widely popular American adventure game show “Survivor”, were sheltered in a pristine island set in a remote location within the area of El Nido.

Among others, Koh Lanta used El Nido’s famous Big lagoon, Snake Island, Cadlao Island, and Dilumacad Island to test the mettle of each contestant in what seemed to be a game of odds.

The first of Season 7’s thirteen episodes was shown on French channel TF1 last June 29.

Adventure Line Productions (ALP TV), producer of the said show, is one of the top TV production companies in France specializing in adventure game shows. ALP TV, together with El Nido Resorts, the most luxurious resort in the El Nido area, kept an eye on the 16 contestants during the entire shoot. Directors and other executives of the adventure show stayed in Miniloc and Lagen Island Resorts.

The 16 contestants of the reality game show were divided into two teams. Each team watches as they support a teammate who in the end might also be their greatest rival for the title. Set in the famous Big Lagoon, this is just one of the grueling challenges each contestant had to endure.
