About Apulit Island

El Nido Resorts’ Eco-Adventure island resort, Apulit, set in Taytay Bay in North-eastern Palawan, offers exciting and exhilarating activities for the thrill-seeker. Guests may climb and rappel down the 60-meter limestone cliff, with birds’ eye-view of the whole island. Dive and discover sunken treasures just off the beach, with a Japanese ship wreck and a plethora of marine species to greet guests. Put on headlights and go spelunking in the different caves of Apulit, or hop on the banca as one go island hopping and snorkelling with the resort’s marine sports guides to identify and explain the different species around the area. The resort’s guest activities coordinators will help plan your adventure-filled holiday at Apulit Island.


Apulit Island has 50 water cottages that combine traditional Filipino architectural style with contemporary design. The cottages are all built on stilts, perched above the sea with an unobstructed view of Palawan’s azure Taytay Bay, surrounding islands, and dramatic limestone cliffs. There are 30 Water Cottages built around the main cove of the island. Each Water Cottage has a 26sqm floor area and can accommodate a maximum of two persons. 20 Loft Water Cottages are located on the western cove. Each two-level Loft Water Cottage has direct access to the sea from its private veranda. It has a total floor area of 60sqm and fits four persons.

These cottages are on stilts and are ideal for couples. Each Water Cottage has a private veranda overlooking to the sea, and can fit up to 2 persons.

Loft Water Cottage

Perfect for families or group of friends, the Loft Water Cottage can fit up to 4 persons. It has stairs that gives you direct access to the sea.

Getting There

From Manila via El Nido, Palawan
Airswift* (former Island Transvoyager Inc.), offers daily flights from Manila to El Nido, Palawan. Travel time is approximately 55-minutes using a 50-seater ATR aircraft. Flight reservations may be made directly through Airswift. From Lio airport in El Nido, guests will take an hour and 90 minutes van ride to Taytay Town Port. A 50-minute boat transfer to Apulit Island from Taytay Town Port follows.
*Airswift flights suitable for passengers booked at Apulit Island are the 6:30AM, 9:55AM and 11:00AM (Manila- El Nido) flights; while return flights to Manila depart El Nido, Palawan at 4:35PM.
Boat schedules are as follows:
From Lio Airport to the Apulit Island: 10:00AM (Morning Flight), 1:45PM (Mid-day Flight) and 3:00PM (Afternoon Flight)
From Apulit Island to the airport: 7:30AM, 11:30AM (Morning Flight) and 1:05PM (Afternoon Flight)
From Manila to Puerto Princesa, Palawan
Taytay is also accessible via Puerto Princesa City. Taytay Town Port is a 4-hour drive from Puerto Princesa City. El Nido Resorts arranges van transfers from Puerto Princesa for a minimum fee of PhP 2,000.00 per passenger per way. The shuttle leaves Puerto Princesa Airport at 10:00 AM and arrives in Taytay Town Port at 2:30 PM daily. Likewise, the shuttle leaves 10:00AM from Taytay Town Port and arrives in Puerto Princesa at 2:00PM daily.
